"The Irish Famine" by Jim Donnelly


The importance one item can have is relative to every individual. I have never considered potatoes a dire need, but to the people of Ireland during the mid 1800's, potatoes were essential. Something I take for granted was a necessity to someone else. I can definitely relate to this, for there is things I feel as though I will die without, while other people enjoy them casually. I can only imagine the pain the people of Ireland endured during this time based on my limited experience.
